COVID-19 (Corona Virus) Updates

 

The news we have all eagerly waited for..................we will be re opening on Saturday 4th July 2020.

 

Should you wish to make a booking we will only be taking reservations over the phone so please bare with us. 

 

We are still waiting for guidance for what the new opening procedure will be , and once we receive this we will publish on our website and Facebook , but in the meantime countdown the days on your calendar and we look forward to welcoming you again next week

We are pleased to be welcoming you back to Sandfield House Farm Caravan Park from the 4th July 2020. We have implemented several changes to reflect our ‘new normal’ way of working.  We are enrolled on the Good to GO scheme.
 
Please help us by playing your part to keep yourselves, our team and our wider community safe during these unprecedented times. We can only reopen safely with your full cooperation and we thank you in advance for your compliance.
 
 
1. Please always adhere to the current social distancing guidelines in place.
 
2. Please do not visit us if you have any Covid-19 symptoms or have been in contact with anyone who has Covid-19 symptoms. If you are unsure please refer to the NHS website and advise us as soon as possible via email or telephone to discuss your reservation. 
 
3. Any balance payments must be paid 1 week prior to arrival via telephone.
 
4. STRICTLY - Day visitors are NOT permitted on site for the remainder of 2020. This will control the number of people on site and assist with the NHS Track and Trace scheme that is in operation.
 
5. If you have your own facilities within your caravan or motorhome, we encourage you to use your own which will help reduce the amount of people using shared facilities helping to keep everyone safe.We ask that you DO NOT use the sinks to shave or brush your teeth and use the facilities in your own unit.
 
6. Please bring with you your own supply of hand sanitizer, soap and disinfectant wipes. However , sanitizer stations are situated in and around the park .
 
7. Do not flush wipes down our toilets (It will block our sewerage system and force us to close the park) - please dispose of them in a dustbin.
 
8. Wash your hands regularly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after using service points and any shared facility. Hand sanitizer is not a substitute for good handwashing practice.
 
9. There will be reduced facilities in the shower block. These are challenging times we are facing so please be respectful of others and patient.
 
10.The pot wash will be closed until further notice.
 
11. The shop will be closed for the foreseeable future. We ask that only 1 person will be allowed in reception at anyone time or alternatively call the office to reduce contact. 01947 602660
 
12. Children must always be accompanied by an adult this includes in the shower block, on the dog walking and on the football field. Children must not wander around the park without adult supervision. 
 
13. Families can play ball games on our adjacent field which is large enough for socially distanced games. There are 2 goal posts on this field (nets removed)
 
14. Our tennis courts will be closed for the foreseeable future.
 
15. If you have ordered an external take-away delivery you must meet them at the park entrance. They are not permitted onsite at this time.
 
16. Groups of people may not gather (max 6 people in any group) Please adhere to the government guidelines and social distance at all times. Failure to comply will result in us having no choice but to ask you to leave the park.
 
17. If you have any coronavirus symptoms you are required to isolate immediately, inform reception via telephone and wait for further instruction. Currently the guideline is to remain isolated,do NOT use any public facilities, book a test and if positive return home immediately. 
 
18. Dog walkers please be respectful of other users and keep your dog under control. Dogs must always be on a lead on the park and not left to run loose.
 
19. All park benches have been removed. 
 
20. Laundry facilities will remain closed until further notice 
 
21. All local events and information leaflets have been removed and we ask you to refer to www.discoveryorkshirecoast.com . All bus and tide timetables will be displayed in the display cabinets on the shower block nearest to the office. 
 
22. Re-opening your Caravan you should make sure that your van is in good serviced condition.
 
23. Check that your gas is correctly installed.
 
24. Clean, sterilise and flush your fresh water system.
 
We won't be interacting face to face with our customers like we normally do for the foreseeable.

We have implemented extra cleaning schedules.Please do not try to gain access to the facilities whilst we are cleaning. Shower curtains have been removed to reduce a touch point. We know that this is not ideal but it is a risk that we feel we need to eliminate at this time.
 
We hope that you will respect the new guidelines which will help to control the virus and stop the spread. Please allow extra time for check-in and using facilities. 
 
The above guidelines may be changed at any time by our-selves to reflect any tightening or relaxing of Government guidelines.
 
If any facility is not working with social distance in place it can be withdrawn by us at any-time.
